Interpolation Calculator

Linear interpolation for tabular firing table data and safety calculations.

Use this calculator when your target value falls between two entries in a firing table. Enter the two known reference points from the table and your target value to find the interpolated result.

Example

If your firing table shows Elevation 450 mils at Range 3000m and Elevation 500 mils at Range 3500m, and you need the elevation for Range 3200m:

  • Known Low Range: 3000
  • Known High Range: 3500
  • Value at Low: 450
  • Value at High: 500
  • Target Range: 3200

Known Reference Points (from table)

Common Use Cases

Elevation

Range → Quadrant Elevation (QE)

Time of Flight

Range → Time (seconds)

Fuze Setting

Range → Fuze Time/VT Setting

Drift

Range → Drift Correction (mils)
